In this series of blog articles, we will explain to you an added feature in Xuver and how to use this function in the process of clarifying your 3D designs to your clients. In this article, we will discuss the laser pointer. This function allows you to point at anything inside your model, which makes it easy to illustrate what is being talked about to everyone inside the model.
What is Xuver? A short introduction
Xuver is the world’s first in-browser viewer, and one of its key points is to enable clear communication between everyone inside a 3D visualized model. Between architect and client, there is often a gap in terms of technical knowledge and spatial insight between involved parties. With Xuver, everyone involved in the designing process can simply walk around inside the model with a 3D figure (the avatar) as if it were a viewing in real life. This makes it easy to visualize a model for everyone involved: no matter their level of technical skill.
About the laser pointer
Communication inside the model should be as easy as possible. Sometimes you want to clarify a design choice or a certain part of your model. The laser pointer enables you to point at anything so everyone who is present can see where to look. The laser pointer works excellently together with the voice module. Show what you are talking about with the laser pointer, while you talk using the voice module at the same time.
How to use the laser pointer
It’s very easy to use the laser pointer to point out anything that needs special attention inside the model. The only thing you need to do is go to the menu inside Xuver and select the laser pointer in the features menu. Immediately you can see the laser pointer coming from the avatar’s right hand, moving wherever you point your mouse.
